Well bother. It seems like all I ever blog about is how bad I am at blogging because I always forget to post. :P
As appeasement, here is a little poem I wrote the other day. Hope you enjoy!
Goodbye memory
hello discovery
of Life's new
Loves and
bi-ways
of unknown lore
not forgotten
simply
unexplored...

Coming Soon!
Sometime very soon, I plan to write a few little article style blog posts on:
1. Handwriting and the Art of Letter Writing in Today's World
And
2. Electronics.......(My opinion on why they are bad for children)

New Look
Hello Friends!
I got bored with the look I had before and so I found a pretty new picture and changed the colors for now. I needed something cheery! Perhaps I'll change it back again later. I was rather fond of the black and white...

Love Story: How I Found God in Taylor Swift
"For God so loved the world that He gave us His only Son. So that whomever believes in Him might not perish, but have eternal life."
-John 3:16-17
What an amazing thought! God loves His creation of man so much that He gave us His only Son. God loves us so much that He pursues us, He seeks us, He calls us, because He wishes for us to love Him back.
Like many people, I sometimes listen to music and sing along with it as a form of prayer, because it seems to be one way I can effectively communicate with God. And normally, when I feel God speaking to me through this music, it is usually Christian or instrumental music. But God seems to have other ways of calling us in the music we listen to, something I only recently realized.
I was at a dance with a few of my good Catholic friends when the song "You Belong With Me," by Taylor Swift, came on. At one point in the song, the lyrics say:

"I know your favorite songs
And you tell me 'bout your dreams
Think I know where you belong,
Think I know it's with me..."
I suddenly realized that God was singing that to me. There was no loud voice, no thunder bolts, nothing extraordinary happening. There was just a small stirring in my heart as if God was saying, "You belong with Me and I love you..."
So next time you have some song lyrics dancing around in your head when you are trying to pray, or your favorite song comes on the radio, stop and really listen for a moment....listen with your heart. Maybe God's got something to say to you...
A rose by any other name would not smell as sweet...
Today I was suddenly seized with the desire to create a little fabric rosette. My first try failed miserably:
Poor little thing...it's horribly mishapen... :P I used a silky material that frayed very easily when handled so much. I was determined not to give up, however and so I tried again, this time with a silk ribbon. My poor sister waited patiently while I continued on my quest for a silken rose. She thought I was crazy...but I proved that I could do it! Here is the result! Ta da!
Isn't it beautiful? The question of what to do with it still remains...perhaps I'll make a headband or some sort of pin with it...I haven't decided yet. But I had fun taking pictures with it today! :)
Adorable little figurine from my sis.
Piano keys!
P.S. If you want to create one of these for yourself, just grab a silk ribbon (I used a 1"), a needle and some thread and have at it! All you have to do is simply roll it up, tucking and sewing as you go! :)

It's been a while since I've blogged anything at all. Lately, however, I've been journaling a few little "articles" per say and I think that perhaps I should try to post something once a week. If I could come up with a few different topics to write about, that would help. Anybody have any suggestions? What would you like to see me blog about? Sewing? Writing? Religion (I'm Catholic Christian)? More recipes? Life? Book reviews? Leave a comment with a suggestion...I'd like to hear from you! :D
